1、 What are the potential safety hazards of sealing balconies in high-rise buildings?
1. The wind pressure of high-rise buildings is relatively stronger, and the sliding windows are less airtight. The heating or cooling effect will be discounted, and the probability of rain water backflow is relatively greater in stormy weather.
2. When the wind pressure on high-rise buildings is strong, sliding window glass panels are prone to swinging, posing a safety hazard of falling.
3. The force on sliding windows is mainly concentrated on the lower track, and high-rise window sashes will bear strong vertical wind loads. If the strength and wall thickness of the profile are insufficient, it is easy to cause deformation of the track, which affects the use and safety of doors and windows.
4. In terms of product quality, the structure of sliding windows is relatively simple, and the requirements for product manufacturing and production processes are low. Currently, many sliding window products on the market have uneven quality, and after-sales service is difficult to guarantee.
2、 How to choose a sliding window?
1. The wall thickness should be 1.6 or above, and reinforced mullions should be installed. In terms of glass pressure lines, fixed pressure lines must be used on the outer side, and integrated pressure lines are preferred on the inner side. In terms of corner assembly, whether it is pin injection or corner collision before injection, the injection amount should be sufficient to ensure the stability of the corner assembly.
2. In terms of hardware and accessories, when choosing, you can inquire about the hardware brand of the merchant, especially the brand and material of the lock point lock seat, as well as the structure of the lock. In addition, the sealing strip of high-rise window glass should meet the design requirements of having a harder inner side and a softer outer side.
3. The wind resistance and load-bearing performance of doors and windows should be given special consideration. The wind resistance performance of doors and windows depends on the resistance moment of the main load-bearing members, and the upper and lower mullions only rely on pulleys to bear horizontal wind loads. Therefore, the wind resistance performance of sliding windows is closely related to the quality of the pulleys. When making a purchase, you can inquire about the brand of the pulley from the merchant, observe for any bumps when pushing or pulling, and ask if the windows have anti sway devices. Generally, sliding windows with medium to high configurations come standard, and installing them on rails can effectively prevent the window sash from shaking, enhance its firmness and wind pressure resistance. Sliding windows, due to the fact that the window sash is stuck on the track, rely on the hook lock or bumper lock on the glass sash to lock when closed. Therefore, the depth of the track and the quality of the hardware lock are also closely related to the wind pressure resistance performance of the doors and windows
3、 What are the precautions for installation?
1. There are generally two types of fasteners for installation: screws and fixing plates. It is recommended to use medium carbon steel or stainless steel burst screws or self cutting screws for screws, and it is not recommended to use small yellow croaker sleeve screws.
2. The length of the fastening screws should preferably be greater than 15cm. If there is a large gap between the wall and the profile, large glass, high floors, frequent typhoons, strong winds, or severe damage to the window sill base, it is recommended to use longer and thicker screws, with an effective depth of more than 5cm embedded in the wall.
3. For high-rise buildings, a screw should be installed at a distance of 30cm, and screws should also be installed at a distance of 15cm from the corners.
4. It is generally recommended to use medium carbon steel or stainless steel materials for the fixing plate, with a wall thickness of preferably more than 1.5mm. In addition, it is recommended to add fixing plates that intersect within a 40cm spacing to cope with high-altitude positive and negative wind pressure. If necessary, it is necessary to add compression pieces at the corners of the exterior wall, and it is recommended to use standard screws of 10 or 12mm for fastening.
4、 What should be paid attention to when installing frame cushion blocks?
1. Both inside and outside of the frame are fortified with frame cushion blocks.
2. The corner position and the vertical direction of the center position must be padded with frame pads.
3. The position for screwing should be padded with frame blocks.
